KIDS BJJ 5-8

OUR KIDS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE OUR YOUNGEST STUDENTS TO BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU AND HELP BUILD COORDINATION. OUR CURRICULUM INCLUDES FUN, INTERACTIVE DRILLS AND FAST-PACED GAMES GUIDED TO JIU JITSU MOVEMENTS SO THAT STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO BUILD A STRONG FOUNDATION AND A GREATER UNDERSTANDING OF BJJ.

KIDS BJJ 9 AND UP

OUR KIDS 9 AND UP PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO HELP STUDENTS BUILD A STRONG FOUNDATION AND IMPROVE THEIR OVERALL UNDERSTANDING OF JIU JITSU. THE CURRICULUM FOR THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES BOTH BEGINNER AND FUNDAMENTAL TECHNIQUES, COORDINATION DRILLS, INTERACTIVE GAMES AS WELL AS EXPLORING CORE CONCEPTS AND IDEAS.

BJJ FUNDAMENTALS

THE FUNDAMENTALS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED AND BASED AROUND CORE TECHNIQUES THAT EVERY JIU JITSU PRACTITIONER SHOULD KNOW. WITH THIS PROGRAM, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO IMPROVE THEIR OVERALL JIU JITSU KNOWLEDGE, INCREASE MOVEMENT AND RECEIVE AN INTRODUCTION INTO MORE ADVANCED JIU JITSU TECHNIQUES. STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ASK QUESTIONS TO IMPROVE THEIR OVERALL UNDERSTANDING OF THE TECHNIQUES AND POSITIONS. ALL STUDENTS FROM WHITE BELT TO BLACK BELT ARE ALLOWED IN THIS PROGRAM.

BJJ INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED

Our Intermediate and Advanced Jiu-Jitsu class assumes that you understand a good portion of the basics taught in the Fundamentals. We emphasize on these basics while starting to introduce more complex techniques. Then after the techniques, the students will spar to build endurance, and apply the techniques to real-life situations. Students are required to have 60 classes at the discretion of the instructor to be able to join the Intermediate and Advanced Jiu-Jitsu class. This is to promote a safer environment and destroy the bad habits of Jiu-Jitsu during the initial stages of learning.

BJJ EXECUTIVE

THE ADVANCED PROGRAM GIVES STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET A MORE IN-DEPTH EXPLORATION OF ADVANCED JIU JITSU TECHNIQUES. STUDENTS WILL ALSO GET AN EXTENSIVE LOOK AT MODERN JIU JITSU AND LESS COMMON SITUATIONS THAT COULD ARISE. ENTRY INTO THIS PROGRAM IS FOR BLUE BELTS AND ABOVE.

WOMEN’S ONLY PROGRAM

IN ADDITION TO THE ADULT CLASSES, OUR SCHOOL OFFERS A SET OF CLASSES DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE WOMEN TO THE ART OF BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU. BJJ IS A PERFECT FIT FOR WOMEN WHO ARE INTERESTED IN LEARNING HOW TO PROTECT THEMSELVES BECAUSE IT COMBINES A COMPREHENSIVE SELF-DEFENSE CURRICULUM WITH EMPHASIS ON DRILLS THAT SIMULATE REALISTIC ATTACK-AND-ESCAPE SITUATIONS. THE TECHNIQUES TAUGHT ARE COMPLEMENTED BY A STRONG FITNESS COMPONENT THAT IS SECOND TO NONE IN COMPARISON TO OTHER CLASSES OFFERED IN REGULAR GYMS. NO GI

This class removes the Gi from Jiu-Jitsu and puts you in a real life grappling environment. The class focuses on modifying our normal Jiu-Jitsu techniques by reducing emphasis on the ability to grab clothing material. What you have left is a real life experience that is similar to the type of grappling done in the Octagon.

MUAY THAI

Muay Thai or Thai Boxing also known as the “The Art Of the Eight Limbs” is the national sport and cultural martial art of Thailand. It was developed several hundreds of years ago as a form of close-combat that utilizes the entire body as a weapon. Come learn from the best battle tested instructors in New England!

PRIVATE LESSONS ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL ACADEMY MEMBERS & VISITORS AND ARE A GREAT WAY FOR MORE CONCENTRATED INSTRUCTION. STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR A MORE IN-DEPTH EXPLORATION OF TECHNIQUES AND POSITIONAL STUDY IN THIS MORE EXCLUSIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT. ALL PRIVATE LESSONS MUST BE SCHEDULED BEFOREHAND BY CONTACTING THE ACADEMY.

PRACTITIONERS CAN SHOW UP AND ROLL, DRILL, ASK QUESTIONS/LOOK FOR ADVICE, AND/OR A BIT OF EVERYTHING. EVEN SITTING AROUND AND BANTERING CAN BE A FUN EXPERIENCE WHEN YOU SHARE IT WITH YOUR FELLOW BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU PRACTITIONERS.
